Audience Raves
Holy hell is this show good. Jean COMMANDS the stage and brings the audience into her world masterfully. I had an absolute blast with this show.
Masterfully written and performed. I kept thinking throughout, “who would have thought that just a woman and a chair could conjure up such vivid imagery, story, and feeling.” Jean was funny, vulnerable, and brave throughout— not missing a single beat. I loved it.
Really brilliant show. Very funny and candid, it opened up a whole new world to me I hardly knew existed. One of the best productions I have seen this year at the Fringe.
She masterfully captures the intricate layers of a woman’s inner world, delivering a story that is as revealing as it is relatable. Her ability to invite the audience into the complexities of female sexuality is nothing short of remarkable.
Loved this show. Brutally honest, laugh out loud. Go see!
A wonderful, warm and heartfelt show. Jean’s courage, honesty and ability to connect with her audience is impressive…we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Definitely go!
It was entertaining, enlightening, educational and titillating!
MY MOTHER DOESN’T KNOW I’M KINKY is a show of Jeans unbound journeys of Kink and Kin that truly delivers. In a welcoming and comfortable space, Jean guides us on a fun and educational journey through her world of BDSM, revealing insights that many might not know. She’s a masterful storyteller, and as she shares her experiences we’re invited to explore the complexities of embracing our own sexuality—a vital message in a culture often clouded by sexual pessimism. This is powerful theater that delves into themes of kink and connection, leaving you thinking… feeling…and eager for more.
Jean Franzblau takes us on a candid and highly entertaining journey of discovery…She’s supremely likeable, very sexy and inspiringly adventurous. And the spectre of mom’s possible judgment? Well, no spoilers here – go see for yourself!
Her physicality was fabulous, the concept was so one of a kind and sooooo funny … absolutely entertaining 100%! One of my fave shows at this year’s fringe! It just flowed!
Jean gives her all in a deeply human and gripping performance. The show is honest and deeply affecting.
Equally funny and vulnerable, this show touches deeply on a very human desire to be authentic and whole.
Jean is a force to be reckoned with. Her energy coupled with her fearless honesty and vulnerability shines so brightly we were just absolutely mesmerized…
A wonderful show, well crafted and beautifully performed.

Moving, illuminating, wildly entertaining and masterful. My Mother Doesn’t Know I’m Kinky was an absolute joy to experience.
Brilliantly written and acted, and directed with style and theatrical efficiency.
This is a provocative, funny, and bold performance…
Courageous, sexy, and funny, “My Mother Doesn’t Know” is dynamic as it is important. Jean Franzblau is captivating onstage, bringing her stories and relationships to life through humor, vulnerability, and a physicality that paints a vivid picture of every scene and situation. I felt deeply, I laughed hard, and I learned a lot…
